Wednesday and Friday Art Club - Slade Primary School - Terms 1& 2 2017

We have been very busy these past two terms at the Art Club! These are just a few examples of the beautiful artworks created by the children:

Photographic Project:

Inspired by our visit to the exhibition 'Wildlife photographer of the year' at OBS Gallery, children create 3D habitats and took photographs using digital cameras. This project enabled the children to explore a range of creative processes and experiment with different media. This included working in drawing, 3D constructions and photography. This project culminated with a mini photographic session where children learnt how to use a digital camera and some of the basics about photography (close up, wide angle and the use of filters) We also look at the difference between old (film) cameras and digital cameras, and explore how old cameras worked. Children also created their own film paper cameras.
